Although there are some differences in HealED and Brain over Binge, the approaches are highly compatible. Like Brain over Binge, HealED focuses on helping you learn to eat normally and stop following the urges to binge (and purge), and does not focus on solving all of your emotional problems and underlying issues.
Your HealED coach will be familiar with the principles and strategies outlined in Brain over Binge, and work with you to stop bingeing and build a healthy relationship with food.
Over the past 10 years, HealED has coached over 600 clients to help end their struggle with binge eating, bulimia and yo-yo diets.

Questions that our clients frequently ask:
How much does coaching cost?
We offer two types of coaching. Phone coaching and email coaching.

Who is coaching helpful for?
Recovery coaching can be helpful at any stage of the recovery process, but it may be especially beneficial if you:
Are just starting out on the road to recovery and feeling overwhelmed by the task ahead.
Have little to no support at home or have not told friends/family about your binge eating or bulimia
Are experiencing lots of relapses and believe full recovery is impossible for you.
Have lost faith in the recovery process or feel you have hit “rock bottom”.
Can anyone sign up for recovery coaching?
As long as I have a space available for you then yes, absolutely!
How long does recovery take?
Unfortunately there are no quick fixes so total recovery wont happen overnight. While everyone is different, you can typically expect to see big improvements within the first 3 to 5 months. Recovery is challenging, but at the end of it all you will receive the greatest gift – your freedom – your recovery!
Is coaching the same as therapy?
No. This is a confusing issue for many as the two services are similar and may be used together.
A therapist tends to focus on exploring past issues and underlying problems where as a coach focuses more on problem solving and taking action towards recovery.
Coaching is a non-clinical personal development service in which the coach works with the client to set the agenda, the goal, and the desired outcome. Coaching is based on principles from several disciplines including neuroscience, positive psychology, behavioural change theory, and mind-body coaching. It works.
Will my weight spiral out of control in recovery?
Definitely not. Studies show that most people with bulimia end up 1-2lbs around their weight range prior to recovery.
How will I know when I am recovered?
Put simply, you will know when you are recovered because you will no longer crave or desire to binge on food.
What if I buy it and I still feel it has not helped me?
Our guarantee lasts for 7 days. We ask everyone who does not feel it has helped to email us for a full refund. We will return your money within a 48 hour period – no questions asked.
I’ve been failing at recovery for years, how will this be any different?
Unlike most treatment options we address the core issue of food restriction and binge urges head on. Many find our approach is successful after having failed at recovery multiple times.
